Hello everyone.
I am trying to figure out what is the difference between the Market Insights report in Merchant Center MCA and the one created via BigQuery about market insights.
In my Merchant Center I have the benchmark price for only 1.6k SKUs while my feeds has 1M SKUs. I know for a fact that my competitors are selling 80% of my SKUs and are advertising them via Google Ads. Will I be able to extract the benchmark price for more than 1k SKU (ideally the whole feed) if I use BigQuery data, or will I have exactly the same report on the same about of SKUs ?
Thank you for your help.
Hi @paulinevetilla,
Based on the information you input to your Merchant Center account, the Market Insights report in Merchant Center MCA offers benchmarking statistics for a select few products. The Market Insights report generated by BigQuery, on the other hand, gives you access to a considerably larger dataset and enables you to study the market for a greater variety of goods. In comparison to what is accessible in the Merchant Center report, BigQuery allows you to access and analyze Google Shopping data, including rival prices, for a significantly larger number of SKUs. This can be helpful if you want to learn more about the market for all of your products rather than just a select few. BigQuery can give you access to more thorough market data and insights, including the average selling price for a greater number of SKUs, enabling you to make more strategic pricing decisions and maintain competitiveness.
