Cloud SQL Export taking too long

Cloud SQL export operation for postgres instance has been running for 20+ hours and is still in progress. No other operations can be performed on the instance while this is running. Is there a way to cancel this process?

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

Based on this documentation on best practices for importing and exporting data:

  • You can't stop a long-running Cloud SQL instance operation.

To answer your question, it is not possible to stop an ongoing instance creation.

For us to further assist you with your concern, it would be best to either file this as a bug or reach out directly to our Google Cloud Support.
