GCP to Microsoft SQL Server Data Transfer

Hello all,

I am brand new to GCP so forgive me for my very vague question but I am trying to transfer data from GCP into a microsoft sql server version 2016-2017. I have seen a lot of threads about bringing in data from microsft sql server to gcp but is it possible to create a direct connection the other way around. I have been looking into the possibility of creating a google cloud instance on my sql server. Is this a possible route? What are other possible options?
