Requirements
- Account management: Users need to be able to create accounts and access relevant information.
- Application of Registration & Licenses: Users need to be able to apply for relevant registration and licenses issued by UVB and print them off the Web Portal.
- Publicizing Professionals: The user needs to be able to verify who is a UVB registered and licensed veterinary professional.
- Monitor Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Veterinary professionals and the Board need to have a way to track and monitor individual professional’s CPD progress.
- News and press publications: The website needs to offer relevant news and information to the professionals and general public.
- Displaying Licenses: The platform needs to have the ability to individually display and offer the option to printing personal and institutional licenses securely for the relevant user.
- Website rebrand: The platform requires a rebrand to enable a more modern look and feel including mobile compatibility.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO): The platform needs to be search engine optimized.
- Content management system: A CMS needs to be used in order to assign access rights for UVB officials to upload and manage content.
- Database module: This database needs to be able to compile and store details of registered professional, licensed veterinary practitioners (with their respective dates of expiry/renewal), location(s) and basic contact details with an easy to use ‘search’ feature. This database can be physically hosted at UVB offices or securely hosted in the cloud with popular database hosting service providers.
- Database & information Backup: the systems need to be backed up to allow data to be restored from an earlier point to help the Board recover from unplanned events.

Project Duration
All activities should be completed within 6-8 weeks of project approval and inception. This is excluding maintenance and design support which should follow up for 12 months.
Intellectual Property
All outputs and intellectual property created during this assignment, including but not limited to system code, system design, data, findings, results, solutions, recommendations and any other documents and designs developed throughout the project shall be owned by Uganda Veterinary Board.
