Hi Buddies
We are build a Demo environment to show Oracle to AlloyDB migration using Database Migration Service. The source is Oracle 21c XE downloaded from Oracle official site.
Please ¿Can you confirm me that Oracle XE match with all technical features required by DMS to execute the migration?
Thanks in advance for your feedback

Hi buddy @fbermeoq!
From the Database Migration Service (DMS) documentation, Oracle 21c is supported, so DMS should also be compatible with the Express Edition (XE). However, it’s important to note the known limitations when using Oracle 21c with DMS.
The article on Oracle Database XE also confirms that “Because it is a regular Oracle Database, XE provides compatibility with other Oracle Database editions. If you outgrow Oracle Database XE, you can easily move to another edition of Oracle Database on-premises or Oracle Cloud and get unlimited resources, 24x7 customer support, and regular patches.”
We’ve also used an Oracle XE database in our Oracle to AlloyDB quickstart demo, under Verify using the Data Validation Tool, step 5.
If you need more assistance, you can refer to Oracle Database@Google Cloud FAQs or contact Google Cloud support.
I hope this helps!
