Hi, I'd really appreciate some help in deleting the Cloud SQL instance. It is picking up cost even after the instance has been stopped. Also it has crossed the billing threshold and is expected to go way beyond the allowed limit. This was created as a test an automation however it has been not used at all. I have read documentation which says I could edit it and delete it however although being the Cloud Admin Im unable to edit or delete the instance. Help please!!

You need to start the instance first so you can edit the configuration to disable deletion protection.
this should let you delete the instance.
What error are you getting when deleting the instance?
Check if delete protection is enabled on the instance.
Click on overview tab of the instance, and check the configuration to ensure "Instance deletion protection is disabled"
If it's enabled you can't delete the instance.

Thanks for your response. Yes, it says delete protection is enabled and it asks me to go to edit and remove the delete protection. But all these options are greyed out. There is no error jus that its all greyed out and unclickable.
