Adding a restricted scope to previously approved scopes

I have several restricted scopes approved currently, but I do not have Google Drive.  I would like to add this scope to my project, but, I'm worried that the whole project will get thrown into a 6wk approval queue and put the current project at risk.

Does anyone know how this works? If I add a new restricted scope, will the all the previous project scopes continue to work while we wait for verification? Or will the whole project get paused while we wait for verification?
