Hi Team,
I am trying to connect dataform with Google cloud repositories, I would like to know if it is supported.
If it is supported Could you please provide the steps to create secret while integrating dataform with cloud repositories.
Currently I am getting below error currently, what should be the secret value while creating secret version.
Good day @amitdhote,
Welcome to Google Cloud Community!
Google Cloud Repositories are not supported yet in Dataform. However, if you want this feature, I recommend that you submit a feature request in Dataform, you can use this link to submit a feature request: https://cloud.google.com/support/docs/issue-trackers
If your cloud source repository is linked with Git, it might be possible to create and share a secret. You can try using this link as a step by step process on how to create and share a secret with Git: https://cloud.google.com/dataform/docs/connect-repository#connect-repository Please note that you need a dataform.admin role to be able to link a dataform repository to the git repository.
Hope this helps!
Its utterly baffling to me that Google Cloud Platform releases data products that are fundamentally designed to be incompatible with their own cloud source repositories.
As if you guys don't have any internal standards or direction on this?
Baffling.
We're also keen to either:
- use cloud source repositories, or
- specify a non-root location as the basis for a connected repository (mono repo support)
I've raised an issue via the link you provided.
