Is there an advantage to use GCC to gain a direct access to Google Photo ?

I need to build an app using photographs from users having a google photo account.

I wonder if there is a competitive advantage to use GCP vs AWS in this case, or is the access/service providing rougly the same ?

Hi @fransua,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

Objects like photos cannot be accessed directly from Google Photos using applications being deployed on Google Cloud. It should be uploaded to Google Cloud Storage then it will be accessed by that application. 

I would suggest that your app would be able to upload photos from your local machine or file a feature request if this feature would be possible in the future.

Please be advised that we don't have a specific ETA for this but you can keep track of its progress once the ticket has been created.
