Persistent Disk Standard (GB) is full

Hi!

I have recently noticed a problem with two of my projects, which are similar - they suddenly exceeded of Persistent Disk Standard (GB) limit and I can't find the root cause of that.

Increasing this limit didn't help, extra 100GB got used within a couple of minutes.

Has anyone seen something like that and knows what can be the cause and how to fix it?

I have checked all storages, etc and seen files for about 15GB only, so really have no idea why the project consumes over 4TB.

Best regards,

Volodymyr Hudyma

Hello Volodymyr,

Would you share more details? For example, are you using regional or zonal PD? What products/programs/softwares are you running?

What is shown on the GCP console is just the total Disk that is under the Compute Engine>Disks tab. In the Monitoring tab you are able to see the disk behavior at different times. Comparing these charts to your OS/software on that particular time may help you.
