cloud cost usage consumption analysis

Iam created a project and enabled the billing in my google console with free tier credits.that project consumes the some of credits on resources.when i try get cost usage consumption analysis with API call it says your "No usage data found for projects".

I created a few services last weekend and without use received a bill for over £100.  GCP is clearly no longer usage based. Just creating a database instance causes daily billing

Howdy Tim,
What flavor of database did you create?  I looked at this page which described Cloud SQL pricing.  The statements there lead me to understand that (for the case of Cloud SQL), Google charges in various dimensions for its existence irrespective of whether you are using it or not.

Howdy, can you describe in more detail what flow/API calls you are following to get details of consumption of your project?  Once we hear what actual commands or console pages you are using, maybe we can drill down in this some more and determine why you are not seeing the information you desire.
