Hello

I found translation API which seems to be free and doesn't require API key

May I use it in my commercial project?

And is there any information about this API somewhere - limits, description, etc?

Hi @maixi,

Thank you for reaching out to the community regarding the free use of Google Cloud Translate API.

Google Cloud does offer free trials but basically all the APIs within it are paid services. There are indeed searchable workarounds online but Google does not take ownership of such published articles or documentation, you do have the right to use them but at your own risk and we strongly discourage them. Once Google detects unusual traffic from their APIs, surely there will be repercussions such as immediate suspension or termination of the service that you are using, paid or not, as stated in Google Cloud Translation API - Service Specific Terms.

7.3 No Use of this Service with Embedded Device Applications or to Create a Similar Service. Customer will not, and will not allow third parties under its direction to: (iii) integrate this Service with any applications for any embedded devices such as cars, TVs, appliances, or speakers without Google's prior written permission. This Service can only be integrated with applications for the following personal computing devices: smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. In addition to any other available remedies, Google may immediately suspend or terminate Customer's use of this Service based on any suspected violation of these terms.
