Excluding values not working in Looker Conversational Analytics

wondering if there is a known bug or anyone has already experienced it and found a workaround: 

in Looker Conversational Analytics, in the prompt I specify I want to include specific values of some dimensions and exclude specific values of other dimensions. While including works well, excluding does not.
I tried various options in the prompt, using: <>, excluding, not equal to, is not, but all that does not seem to work, I still get "is" operator in the query Filters for all dimensions, although in "I'll write a query for the question:..." I clearly see "exclude", "is not equal to", "not", "is not" in "where..." in the right place.
