How do I restore an older version of a dashboard?

Someone has accidentally overwritten a dashboard (deleted tiles etc.). How can we restore the dashboard to a previous version?

Did you find any solution to this ? I'm facing the same issue and I would looove to do kind of a "Version History" like in Looker Studio

This would be a great use case for leveraging LookML dashboards. This enables your team to create a dashboard and be able to codify it, thus allowing your team to leverage your Git integration for version control.

Hi @MaddyM, thanks for the reply.

Even though I like LookML Dashboards, it is definitely not user friendly for dashboard builders.

Hence, it requires people with LookML skills, and that’s the ones that are more likely to do these deletions by mistakes.

In the other hand, each dashboards can be saved as LookML, hence that would be easy in Looker’s side to save each version (or at least 30 days).
