Question..... Is there any way to Integrate Looker with Dataplex/Data Catalog? I only see connectors for BigQuery. I was thinking of adding a Dataplex/Data Catalog layer between BigQuery and Looker, and having Looker be able to read that metadata when automatically building Views and Models

Hi Ivan!
We do have plans for tighter integrations between Looker and Dataplex in the future, however there may be existing features that will help as well. In this doc it mentions:
For BigQuery connections, if you generate a LookML project from your database, Looker autopopulates field descriptions with the descriptions from your BigQuery column metadata, if any.
If you have additional ideas on improvements, please file a product idea or feature request within the Looker platform. Here are directions on how to do so! https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/The-Kitchen-Table/Feature-Requests-How-your-feedback-makes-L...

Hi hutcheric! that feature only works when creating Looker views, right? Is any feature planned to keep the descriptions synchronised between BQ and Looker? Can we know more of the roadmap regarding integrating Dataplex and Looker?
