Looker Feature Request: Passing values from Tile Results

Currently, in order for connected metrics across tiles from different Explores, Merged Results is the option. Is it possible to add a new tile type 'Merged Tile' - that uses the already calculated outputs from the two explores for simple calculated merged metrics.  

Two Tiles (Single Value ones) coming from different explores can be merged (e.g. numeric values like Total Sales from explore 1, Customer Count from explore 2) for basic calculations (e.g. to generate Avg. Spend per cust.) without 'merged result' development efforts.

Benefits: 

• Development efforts for 'Merged Results'
• Query processing cost savings

Downside:

• Can't think of one currently.
