Maps using polygon geometry from BigQuery

Hi,

Still very new to Looker and the visualization possibilities.

I have a BigQuery database set that includes tables with custom polygon geometry data. Previously I was working in Looker Studio Pro and I was able to display these geometries in Looker Studio Pro using the Google Maps Filled chart option. I have been looking for a similar display option in Looker, but haven't had any luck so far.

I saw the option to store a Topojson in Looker and create a map_layer from that. But that is not going to work with my workflow, and going to be too time consuming and require too much manual involvement.

Any advice or ideas on how to display custom polygon geometries directly from BigQuery or a workaround?

Thanks!

Weighing in here to say that uploading TopoJSON files is pretty much the way to go in Looker. I don't think Looker's got any way to read polygons from BigQuery like Looker Studio can.
