  1. Gemini API doesn't use traditional API keys.
  2. It uses Google Cloud's authentication system based on service accounts or application default credentials.  
  3. API keys are typically used for other Google Cloud services, not for Gemini specifically.
  4. Gemini API usage is billed through your Google Cloud project.
  5. You'll be charged based on the number of tokens processed and the model used.
