Google Cloud Alerts Pricing

Hello!

I would like to understand whether there is a specific pricing model for Google Cloud Alerts? These alerts are created as part of the Cloud Logging app dashboard, however there is no mention of pricing for the creation and usage of alerts on the pricing breakdown here: https://cloud.google.com/stackdriver/pricing#logging-costs

Is there a difference between the creation / usage of 1 Cloud Alert vs. 1 million Cloud Alerts?

Setting up and managing Cloud Alerts doesn’t add extra costs to your bill. Whenever an alert is activated, it performs a log query to collect necessary information. The cost of these queries, which can vary based on how much log data is processed and the complexity of the query, is included in your Cloud Logging usage.

You can also use Google Cloud's Legacy Pricing Calculator, and look up Cloud Operations (Logging, Monitoring, Trace, Managed Prometheus), to get a general idea of your costs.

price increase seems to have been delayed 😊.

Starting no sooner than "April 2026", Cloud Monitoring will begin charging for alerting. The pricing model is as follows:

  • $1.50 per month for each condition in an alerting policy.
  • $0.35 per 1,000,000 time series returned by the query of a metric alerting policy condition.
