Hi,
I had one query about the "Google Transcoder Pricing".
According to the Documentation here , the pricing is listed solely based on the resolution and time. But the pricing hasn't been mentioned according to the different Video codecs. I wanted to ask if all the Video codec's pricings are the same or if Google Transcoder charges differently for different Video Codecs.
Can anyone share the descriptive pricing for using Google Transcoder in order to encode the Videos?
Good day @Anjali__Priya,
Welcome to Google Cloud Community!
Transcoder API charging is based only on the transcoded video output and Its pricing per minute is determined from the requested output resolution (e.g. SD, HD, UHD or Audio only). This means regardless of the Video codecs you will only be charged by the pricing per minute of the output video resolution. You can check this link for the pricing table: https://cloud.google.com/transcoder/pricing#pricing_table
If you want, you can try using the pricing calculator to check for estimated fees of each resolution per minute. Just search for "Transcoder" in the search bar and then click the "Transcoder API". You can use this link to check the pricing calculator: https://cloud.google.com/products/calculator
Hope this helps!
