Hello,

Thank you for contacting the Google Cloud Community.

  1. Ensure your project has sufficient compute and storage resources to handle the restore process. You can check and adjust quotas in the Google Cloud Console.
  2. If the database backup is exceptionally large, the restore process might take longer.
  3. There's a possibility that the backup you're restoring from is corrupted or incomplete.
  4. Review the instance configuration settings (e.g., machine type, disk size) to ensure they are appropriate for the restored database.
  5. If available, review the restore logs for any error messages or clues about the issue.

If the issue persists, open a support ticket with Google Cloud Support for further assistance.

Regards,
Jai Ade
