No Resource types - Monitoring Dashboard

Hi Guys,

I have a simple issue, when I create  a Dashboard with Monitoring, under 'What data do you want to view?' I wish to set the Resource type to VM Instance. 

But for some reason there is no option for this resource type, or for any resource type in the menu with the downwards facing arrow.

Am I missing something?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,

Can you tell me which documentation you were following? This link [1] provides an overview of how dashboards and charts are used. With respect to viewing VM instances I would like to ask if you have reviewed this link[2] (as it describes how to view a graph for VM instances)? I believe that this is what you wanted. Are you not seeing the option “VM Instances CPU utilization” under the Resource and Metric heading?
