No labels available for filtering for histogram metrics

Hello!

I'm currently trying to create a simple GCP custom dashboard and I'm running into an issue, I can't apply dashboard-wide filters on a histogram type metric.

For the example my dashboard has only one widget (line chart) that displays a histogram metric from prometheus target. 

When I try to add dashboard-wide filters (temporary or permanent), no label is detected:

But when I try to add filters on the widget level, all the labels are detected properly:

This issue only happen to me for histogram type metrics, for others metric types all the labels are detected properly in both kind of filters.

I'd appreciate for some help,

Hello @tomergayer,

Thank you for contacting Google Cloud Community. 

The potential issue could be that the histogram metrics might be handled differently when it comes to applying filters, especially dashboard-wide filters. Issue Tracker is the right platform to raise requests for new features.
