1.22 GKE update. I still am able to create ingress with "apiVersion v1beta1"

I upgraded to v1.22.9-gke.1300 from v1.21.x, I still am able to create ingress with v1beta:APIversion. I read that it's going to be removed in this version, but it seems like it's not? Am I missing something obvious?
I am expecting to get an error while trying to create it, but I am not.
Thanks for any help/feedback, I appreciate it.

I can create one on 1.23 also ? Very weird
