Has anyone here deployed firewall appliances on GCP , 3rd party either as a vm or from marketplace.
Has anyone integrated the same with any API gateway solution.
Any reference guides to architecture best practices and setup will be appreciated.

GCP supports several third-party firewall appliances available on the Google Cloud Marketplace. Some popular choices include:

• Fortinet - FortiGate - VM on Google Cloud delivers next generation firewall and SD-WAN capabilities for organizations of all sizes, with the flexibility to be deployed as next generation firewall and/or VPN gateway - from marketplace offering.

GCP also provides Cloud IDS - Cloud IDS (Cloud Intrusion Detection System) provides cloud-native network threat detection with industry-leading security.

Note that lack of permissions is a common issue during deployment. Please verify that:

• Your user or service account has the Compute Admin role or other vendor-required roles (see IAM roles reference)
• All necessary APIs are enabled (Enabling APIs guide)
