Backup jobs (for an Oracle DB - 19c on RHEL 😎 fail every time with the following error:
Failed to open device for getting device geometry of xx.xxx.xxx.x:/tmp/nfsmnt/act46799_Job_0048193a_1677255357715_Job_0048193a
I can't find more infos within the B&DR agent logs, system logs, nor database log. Backup is configured to use NFS share and the database is located on filesystem. Nothing really complex.
Backup ran in the past and I can manually (rman) run it to write locally on filesystem.
Could anyone point me in the right direction?
Ty all!
Hi,
Please file a case with GCP Support as we would need to collect logs to further debug this issue.
File a case here through "Get Support for my current Google Cloud product"
Looks like a firewall or network routing issue is preventing the NFS mount from the Backup Appliance to your Oracle host.
