Batch Job typically takes 3-4 minutes to complete, yesterday it took nearly 3 hours

I've ran several hundred Batch Jobs and this scenario has occurred a small handful of times.  My code has erratic behavior when this scenario occurs.  My code is simply interacting with an API and updating some data on Firebase.

What could possibly cause this? I'd love some insight on how to prevent it. Thank you.

@1011 Do you have Cloud Logging enabled? If so, could you see anything abnormal there?  You can enable Cloud Logging and add some output messages around the potential problematic areas (like calling remote APIs, etc).

We cannot access Cloud Logging in your project. But if you can provide us your job region and job UID (which you can get in the job details page in the UI or with 'gcloud batch jobs describe'), we can try to take a look from the service side.
