Budget optimization and Google Cloud Storage Costs

Hi,

I've an editorial website with 2M pageviews at month.
All media are offloaded to Google Cloud Storage Bucket.
I use Cloudflare as a proxy cache.

I saw in billing reports that there are a costs every day for the bucket usage, (approx 3 or 4€ at day). The traffic is almost the same every day, and the backoffice add the same amount of new image every day.

There are a method to identify the detailed cost of the storage bucket? 4€  day seems too high for only 10k media files loaded.

Congratulations on the website!  Looks like a success -- a rare wonder.

We don't break up billing charges by bucket.  You have a couple options to investigate:

- look at the SKU breakdown of the bill to understand which SKUs are generating the unexpected charges.  If you share those, we can likely get the rest of the details through metrics in Monitoring.  These can be grouped by bucket.  It might be faster to just explore the available metrics for anomalies.  There are only about a dozen of them.

- if you don't have a lot of buckets, you can add labels to them. Breakdown of charges by label is available on the BigQuery export of your billing data.  This will not give historic information however.
