Can I use domains contains text "fb" or "ig" to connect with my Google Cloud Service?

Hello,

I have a website igdownloader.net, It works about download video from Facebook or Instagram and does not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.

I've used Vultr as my cloud provider but yesterday they close my vps instance because of an trademark infringement complaint from Meta. I contacted directly with the reporter a day ago to prove that my website does not violate their trademark infringement  but they haven't gave me a response, Vultr does not wait for Meta answer and force me to remove that website. I think this is unfair...

So before creating a Google Cloud Instance, I want to know that can I point this domain to my Google Cloud? I can prove that my websites (this and others) does not violate Meta trademark infringement. Our websites just like other websites: saveig .ap, saveinsta. app, snapinsta .app, igram.world... they still there and works fine...

Hello @vantho ,

I believe it is possible to use domains that contain text "fb" or "ig" when using Google Cloud Platform. Please bear in mind some reminders:

  • The domain must be owned by you or your organization. You will need to verify ownership of the domain before you can use it with Google Cloud.
  • The domain must be configured to use Google Cloud DNS. This will allow Google Cloud to route traffic to your Google Cloud services.
  • You may need to create a firewall rule to allow traffic from your Google Cloud services to the domain. This will help to protect your services from unauthorized access.

For any alleged copyright infringement, Google Cloud will give 10 days for a counter notification before removing the content.
