Considering an idea

Valletta Software Development just released a  report on the future of SaaS, and one idea stood out: using AI to bridge the gap between off-the-shelf SaaS and fully custom solutions, making last-mile customization effortless.

The challenge is that while SaaS handles most business processes, companies still need extra configuration to fit their specific needs. Valletta suggests leveraging AI to automatically generate API integrations based on existing workflows, personalize UI/UX in real time based on user roles, optimize performance dynamically by analyzing behavior, and even expand functionality in line with industry standards.

How realistic is it to build something like this with google cloud AI and vertex AI? And could it integrate effectively with tools like apigee, bigquery, and google workspace?

I’ve expanded the idea.

Right now, businesses rely on static data subscriptions, often paying for datasets that may not fully meet their needs. What if, instead, we had a real-time, AI-driven marketplace where companies could:

  • Buy insights, not just data
  • Validate accuracy before purchase
  • Merge multiple datasets into ultra-precise intelligence
  • Use AI to find unexpected data combinations for deeper insights

The marketplace would function as an AI-powered problem-solving engine.

Key features:

  • Automatically finds the best sources based on accuracy, freshness, and cost.
  • AI cross-checks sources, detects anomalies, and ensures integrity via blockchain (or using any other method).
  • Competing datasets merge into a single, high-confidence product.
  • If key data is unavailable, AI infers insights from alternative signals.
  • AI finds unexpected correlations (e.g., SEO trends + foot traffic to predict store visits).
  • Ensures GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA compliance in real time.

I see the main and the most challenging is integrating multiple AI systems for vendor selection, data validation, fusion, and insight generation. Computational requirements for real-time analysis of diverse data streams could also present scaling challenges as the marketplace grows. Finally, the need to establish trust in automated vendor selection and data validation processes also isn’t an easy ride for sure.

What do you think?
