Disabling cloud save questions

Hi there,

We have published a game with cloud save options, and we have gotten some reports from players that are having some kind of issue with their saves getting erased. When testing the game build, everything seems in place and we can't replicate the error, which makes us thing the issue is related with the Cloud save storage.

We would like to run some tests by disabling this feature to confirm our suspects, but we are afraid of the impact over the existing player base who has no issues with their saves. 

-Is there any way of running this test in a controlled environment i.e testing group?

-How should we disable the Cloud save storage service? Does it require to compile/publish a new build? We have seen the API disable option in our dashboard.

-If we disable the Cloud saving, are the local saves of the players safe? We are worried about hypothetical issues where the lack of this feature overwrites with "no save" the existing local save on the phone.

Could you include all the services that you're using so that we can try to reproduce the issue that you're dealing with. And also, are you using any third party tools besides Google Cloud Services on your application?

Just to add, could you also provide any substantial logs when the data is being erased.

Thanks for your reply. Here goes the info:

-  We use Google Play Games Plugin for Unity v0.10.14, Google Play Games Services, Google Drive API and Google Play Game Management. The game is made on Unity3D 2020.3.

- I'm afaid we are not able to reproduce the problem, so we don't have any log.
