Filestore file retention / housekeeping policy

hi, I has been task to create a file retention policy on the Google FileStore. But i found GCP don't have this function unlike aws https://docs.aws.amazon.com/efs/latest/ug/lifecycle-management-efs.html something like this. GCP only provide lifecycle policies for Cloud Storage ONLY.

can any google staff can answer my question on how to create data retention/lifecycle policy on Google FileStore .

Hi @davidleong98,

Unfortunately, for now this feature is not yet applicable with Filestore. There is currently an ongoing request for this. I created a feature request regarding your question. You can track the progress of the issue using the link I have provided. Please keep in mind that the issue has to be analyzed and considered by the product team and I can't provide you an ETA for it.
