GCP - Service Account Limits & Restrictions

Hello,

I have few questions on Google Service Accounts,  specially using (Drive) storage of an SA, so Its unclear and also not mentioned anywhere (clearly),

Approch: Create a project, create 10 Service Accounts, So technically we will have 150GB storage now.

Now, I want to know, can i use this storage to store personal files i.e documents using api ( I will create simple web based file manager) Using all 10 SA we will pick random sa to download/preview files. Same goes for Uploading.

So, Will google allow me to use 150GB of such storage? If NO, Where does Google specifically mentioned that we can not use Google Cloud > Service Accounts> Drive Storage to store files.

Hi @amjiddader,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

Here’s the Best Practices and Usage Guideline:

  • Google's official guidance on SAs will always point towards their use for applications, not for users.
  • Google Drive API Documentation - focus on accessing and managing data via the Drive API, implying that it must be according to acceptable use policies.
  • Google Workspace: If you use collaborative sharing or file access for a team or small business, Google Workspace would be the recommended product.

Here is the proper forum Google Workspace related to your Google Drive (as storage). For more detailed guidance, please contact Google Cloud Workspace Support.
