GCP Unable to Create Resource in me-central2 (Dammam)

Hi,

As GCP new ME region is officially live, I am trying to create resources in this region including VMs and Buckets but all are giving me the following error message: Permission denied by location policies.

I am facing this error only when creating resources in me-central2 (Dammam) region. Note that I am using an individual account.

Hi @mabed,

Welcome to the Google Cloud Community!

Provisioning resources in the me-central2 (Dammam) region has restrictions. You may review this documentation, Dammam region access, for all the details. Notably, you need a certain billing account type to provision resources.

Since this is also a new region, there may be current resource limitations in Google itself, as discussed in this GCC thread.

I talked to customer support, and they replied that there is lack of resources for this reason that's why this error shows. That suggest trying to create instance around 6 AM / PST there is chance to allocate. This is a temporary issue and will be resolved in time.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you. 😃
