Is there a possibility for free trial of using instance?

I am a newbie in the area and I just want to try how it to use instance on the cloud platform Google. I want to become more familiar with this before I will take some package with the billing. When I tried to Start an instance Today I was informed that I will be charged. I would like to know if there is a free tire and If it is not, what will be the charge?
