Machine not working properly after upgrade

I’ve changed machine type from e2-standard-4 to e2-standard-8 then started the compute engine again. Suddenly, The compute engine didn’t work properly. so I checked the serial port and it said kernel panic - not syncing.

Would you please have any suggestions for this problem?

OS: Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS

If you're running Docker containers then you may be facing an Ubuntu bug on what was the latest kernel version available last week. I believe this has been pulled from GCP now. These are some of the bug links:
