On-premise DNS server or Google Cloud DNS?

We are transitioning a couple of servers from a caged environment to Google Cloud.  I currently have 2  Windows servers hosting DNS records for our Domain.  We use Google Workspace and email and websites all have DNS records forwarding to Google.  Is there an easy way to import a zone from Windows server to Google Cloud DNS or does the zone need to be created and all records added manually?  Should I create a Windows name server VM instance and then transfer the zone into Google Cloud?  I could also just add the records to Network Solutions our Domain provider.

Any advice on the pros and cons would be appreciated.

Thanks, Anne
