Possible to use FTP?

Is it possible (without needing a coder) to use an FTP client with Google Compute Engine so it works more like a traditional web host?

If you asking about typical FTP server capabilities, then yes. SFTP ( secure File Transfer Protocol ) can be configured at VM. I've found stackoverflow post about that.
