Registing to 2 different SAS providers

Is it possible to register 1 CBSD to 2 different SAS providers? Reason is because the current SAS provider has "very bad" usability but we were contracted with, so we are thinking to register this CBSD to google SAS at the same time. Or maybe is there any Primary and secondary type of SAS register? Of course, we are willing to pay for both.

Hi Tom,

It is possible to register a CBSD with multiple SASes, however it is not recommended. A CBSD cannot hold grants with multiple SASes at the same time. Because SASes only share databases at CPAS, you would only be able to hold grants with a single SAS on a single day. It would not be possible to switch SASes mid-day because one SAS would not know that the grants from the other had been relinquished until after CPAS. Constantly switching between SASes would also lead to grants that are new some or all of the time. Older grants are generally considered better. This is because grants that have been held by a CBSD through CPAS are usually less vulnerable to grant suspensions. Older grants can sometimes also be approved to transmit at higher power levels than those that have not.
