Hello,

Thank you for wanting to get into Cloud Computing.

In short, Cloud Computing [1] is the delivery of different service through the Internet. In which (For example, GCP), offered it's physical hardware to be used by many users through the Internet. This is could useful in scenarios like your's (Storing data) where if you want to store unstructured data then you can use something like Cloud Storage [2] which provides low cost data storage where you can storage any amount of data you like (There's no limit).

Additionally, you can read over this the Google Cloud article [3] which goes over in detail what Cloud Computing is.

As per the NIST definition:

Cloud computing is a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. This cloud model is composed of five essential characteristics, three service models, and four deployment models.

Cloud computing is a way of storing and accessing data and programs over the internet instead of your computer's hard drive. It allows you to access data and programs from any device with an internet connection, making it easier for your company to manage data. It also means your data is stored more securely, as it is stored on a remote server rather than your own computer. If you're looking for more detailed information on cloud computing, I'd recommend checking out cloud consultancy. They provide detailed tutorials and information on cloud computing to help you understand it better.

Hello @nenu187984

Let me give you simple non technical example of cloud computing.

It's like your rented house where you just pay for the time you live there.

You don't worry about your building construction or no need to worry about construction cost you will use it and pay monthly and whenever want can quite your aggreement and go out.

And on premise is like your own house where you construct everything by your own , you invest money now doesn't matter if you stay there or not, you invested money.

One more example , you want to store data you have two option

1) USB Pendrive - your own infrastructure

2) Google drive - Cloud computing , googles infrastructure
