howto edit provisioned IOPS of an Extreme Persistent Disk

I'm looking how-to change/edit the provisioned IOPS setting of an Extreme Persistent disk. I'm not able to find any suitable API to change this settings and also seems not possible from the GUI.

I'm looking some reference in the doc in case of this limitation

Editing the provisioned IOPS of a Extreme disk is not possible once the disk is created (AKA dynamically).  It can only be done upon initial disk creation/provisioning.

When there are only a few disks involved, a workaround is to snapshot the disks and then create new ones from those snapshots with the desired provisioning.
