Good morning all. I need to restore my WordPress website back on Google cloud platform after non-usage for two months. But when I logged in, i couldn't find my site address there and WordPress admin URL there any more because my domain got expired. now that i have restored my domain name using the same name, how can i edit my deployment on google cloud platform to add my site address and WordPress admin URL as i have it saved somewhere already. And if no longer possible to re-insert this addresses and URL, what i can i do to have my website come back live again on Google cloud platform. Thanks.
@cykins4good first you'll have to identify where your WordPress website is actually hosted and afterwards if there's any LoadBalancer involved or not.
Once you have these details then you'll have to amend the DNS entries for your domain like so:
- If the VM is exposed directly then get the public IP address and stick a DNS A Entry with that IP address.
- If the VM / Wordpress server is exposed via a Load Balancer then get the endpoint and stick a DNS CNAME entry using that endpoint / name.
These should fix the "link" between your domain and the Wordpress server - if this still exists.
I want to restore my vm instance. I hosted my wordpress website on google cloud hosting. It has been deleted by the google can i restore it. It has been six months.
