Does apigee kafka connector supports consume message?

"The Apache Kafka connector lets you perform insert, delete, update, and read operations on Apache Kafka database." While I suspect it's a copy & paste cause Apache Kafka technically is not a database, does it support reading message as well? Because the Action only have PublishMessage. Thank you.

Thanks Anjalisoni, my apology for dumb question but I'm on apigee deployed on Azure, is the said kafka trigger available on that as well, or it has to be GCP Application Integration. I'm a bit confused who is superset of whom thank you.

The Kafka trigger should work for all the backend environments.
