I am a business executive user and built some Make.com scenarios to move marketing emails automatically to my Trash folder if they are more than 1 day old. This is a personal app just for me and I'm using my personal Gmail app. Every week Make.com stops processing and I have to reauthorize the connection. I am not super tech savvy - not a developer so just did 2 of the free Make.com trainings.
I have tried to move the app to production and go through app verification but since it is a personal app with only me as a user, I cannot put the app through verification and it says to then leave it in test. The connection to Make.com says it will let me authorize it for 6 months, but every week it asks me to reauthorize it. I would like to fix this so that I only have to authorize once every 6 months. How do I do this? I am an "Owner" of the Google Cloud account I set up and it is just a personal Gmail address that I am using. I don't want to pay more for anything fancy just get this working to keep my inbox clean.
Hello @BeckyChandler ,
Since your app is still in "Testing" mode and uses sensitive scopes like Gmail access, Google enforces weekly reauthorization for security reasons.
To avoid reauthorizing every week, the app must complete the verification process — even if it’s only for personal use.
Unfortunately, without verification, this behavior cannot be disabled.
Yes, but it's a circular problem - Google says to leave in test mode if it is an internal user only app with less than 100 users, and if that's the case you can't go through verification.
