I have set up the Salesforce Integration Connector in GCP per Google instructions, and now I am exploring using the Admin SDK Directory API's users/watch endpoint to send push notifications to the connected Salesforce org.
Documentation here explains I must use a CA-signed certificate. Is this installed in my Salesforce org? What values do I use in the Cert Signing Request for the "Common Name" as the Salesforce form calls it?
Or is this certificate something I can generate in GCP Secret Manager and simply import into Salesforce? Thanks for any help, neither platform's instructions are clear and I am not a certificate expert.
Hi @AdamThorsell,
Welcome to Google Cloud Community!
I would suggest following this documentation on configuring Salesforce trigger as this is inline with Google Cloud Application Integration.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the response, @robertcarlos ! I read that link, and I am familiar with Change Data Capture and Platform Events certainly when Salesforce is the sender of those events, as the link describes. But I need a solution for when the event changes on the Google side, and Salesforce receives those notifications and acts on them. Does the configuration you described help me in this case, where I want to subscribe to changes on the Google side (specifically user records via the Admin SDK Directory API)? Thanks.
