[Post-Event Recap] Application Integration Roadmap: The Future Ahead

Thank you to everyone who joined our recent Application Integration Roadmap: The Future Ahead live sessions!

We hosted this event across EMEA, America, and Asia-Pacific regions and were thrilled to see so much global interest and engagement.

In case you missed it—or want to revisit the content—you can watch the full recording below and find the slide deck attached at the bottom of this post.

During the session, we explored:
  • What’s new in Application Integration
  • A preview of upcoming capabilities
  • Insights on what to expect at Google Cloud Next 2025

We received a number of great questions throughout the sessions. For the ones we didn’t have time to answer live, we’ve included a written Q&A summary with responses provided by Simon Lebrun, Outbound Product Manager for Application Integration.

Q: I think if you used any competitors solution you can see something like trace and debugging you can see the input and output in each step in the task , i know some thing like that is hard , but it is helpful
A: Agreed, we are working on those features.

Q: Do you plan to allow copying connector configurations via the UI to create new connectors? Currently, all fields need to be filled in manually - to replicate the same connector.
A: No this has to be thought CI/CD process for the moment.

Q: Are there capabilities in GCP Integration Platform to publish and subscribe to an Event based queue? Are there capabilities to filter event subscription and keep a tab of seeing event queue depth?
A: Yes you can publish and subscribe to an Event based queue (like GCP Pub/Sub, Kafka, Solace, IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ...)you can filter subscriptions in the integration itself. The queue depth and details will be available in the logs.

Q: Does App Integration support an aggregation pattern. i.e. collecting data from 1-N sources at different times then batch/combine them and submit a consolidate payload to target.
A: Yes.

If you’d like to connect with someone from our team to explore how Application Integration can support your work, fill out this short form 📬

And if you attended but didn’t have the chance to share feedback yet, we’d still love to hear from you:

Let’s keep the conversation going in the community! What part of the roadmap are you most excited about?
