Address information for the prize counter: Do I need to write my entire address in English?

I have a question; if anyone can help, I would be very grateful since I’m new to this. Is it necessary to write the address in English? For example, I’m from Brazil, and the postal service delivering the package will be Brazilian. In Address Line 1, should I write in Portuguese as “Rua XXXX, bloco XX, apartamento XXX,” or in English as “Street XXXX, block XX, apartment XXX,” considering that customer service informed me the most important things are the ZIP code/pin code and a valid phone number?
If anyone can help, I’d be very grateful.

Thank you in advance! 🙂

Hello @comfortablycame

Generally we write in English, but if you see that you can write your address in both the languages without any word limit bothering you, you may try that.

Else if you write in Portuguese, I'd say you might mention the language you've used (since it might be an international courier, they might need to translate it). What actually matters is the country name, the zip/pin code and your contact details, which the customer service have already told you as important.

Speaking of the customer support, didn't they tell you which language to use, or which language they'll be comfortable with?

Better write in english as swag company is based in INDIA so use english only.

Thank you guys, I will provide the address in English with the zip code, contact phone number, and address. However, in quotes, I will include it in  Portuguese my adress to be redundant; I think this way works better. 🙂

yes you can
all the best

You're welcome brother 😊

IMO using both languages is better since even if the package is an international delivery, after all a local courier service will be delivering it to you, with (most probably) a local person as the delivery guy.... Using Portuguese will be convenient for them.

And BTW, a very Happy New Year to you in advance! 🥳

Have you got the prize counter link?

NOO BRO!

no one has got till now they are just asking basic queries

No bro.

Just asking basic questions, it's my first time in arcade.
And I don’t want to feel lost cuz I know the customer service will be overwhelmed when those emails arrive.

Thank you to everyone who helped me; I wish all the best to everyone. 😃

Just another question: Should I use the full name or just the one registered in GCP?

I hope you all had an amazing year.

Thank you. 🙂

use your legal name which is mentioned on your govt id as they may ask it for kyc purposes as its a international shipment for you.

Use official name printed on your govt id which may be required for kyc
purposes for delivering your package , also use english as shipping company
is located in India .
Or you can do one thing add ur regional langauga in brackets .

You should use your full name, since it is an international shipping. The customs officials would definitely prefer the name on your govt. ID card. I would prefer to use my nickname in brackets along with it as well, as the local delivery guy might not be able to find you by your real name (it happened for me, and I had to go to the local post office to collect my parcel, since no one was able to identify me by my real name, but the postmaster knew me by my nickname 😂).

I usually write the street name and any additional information in Portuguese, since the person who will actually read this part will be a Brazilian.
However, it is important to write everything without accents to avoid errors when printing the label.
