Sure I will answer these for you:
1)You can't get arcade points now in December because December event was only till 20th of December. But these arcade events happen every month, so you can start from January again.
2)The prizes are redeemed from the arcade points(which are earned by doing arcade events every month). The arcade prize counter is opened twice a year, once in June and once in December, so you do arcade events for six months, accumulate arcade points and then redeem them in the next prize counter.
