Does the leaderboard score have any impact on credits, arcade points or prizes and swags you recieve? Is there any extra benefit in finishing at the top of the leaderboard?

just for fun you can ignore it just keep earning the badges

No, its for fun, Arcade Game badges , skill badges are important. All points you earned from Jan 25 to Jun 25 (present season) will counted for prized counter which is expected to reveal in Jun 25.
