Failed Lab Limits

I understand and fully support the need for lab limits to prevent unfair use of GCP resources. However, when a lab fails due to an issue on Googleโ€™s end, it would be helpful if the situation could be addressed more effectively. For example:

  1. Fixing the issue promptly to ensure participants can complete the lab.
  2. Temporarily marking the lab as optional until the problem is resolved.
  3. Providing an exception so that failed labs due to technical issues don't count toward the attempted lab quota.

GSP1116  lab always crashing, when asking to supporters they tell the lab is working fine .

I fully agree with you Abhishek. I was about to post on same issue and I saw your post on same subject.

mini labs in Trivia December 2024 starting failure rate is very high. Without even starting lab, it consumes one lab attempt for every unsuccessful start of lab. It definitely puts pressure on students who are new to cloud.

Totally agree with u bro......

Totally Agree with you. I was getting issues with the minilabs, labs didnt started but exhausted my daily limit of 10 labs.

Agree ๐Ÿ‘

Yeah, Same is happening to me. I am just able to launch one lab and my daily limit of 10 labs is getting exhausted. Please help me to solve this issue.

@Yugali pls address this problem i want to reach the champions milestone by the lab quota limit is restricting me

Yeah, at least exclude the "Start Here (don't skip this!)" as it counts as one lab.

Just don't do it bro, you can just skip the "Start Here" lab and just complete the labs which are marked as required.

"Start Here (don't skip this!)" is not compulsory to get badge.

Update they have marked mini labs as optional

Week 4 mini labs are still marked as required

minilab:cloud storage:6 works fine for sure, minilab:cloud storage:3 is bizarre and I do not think it works as it should nor that the content alligns with any existing guide or lab, but I am a noob so I could be wrong.

The lab limit should be reset at a fixed time like midnight 12 or at any other fixed time. This should be very helpful as the users(like me) can't get to know when they can start doing labs next day and every user just can't open google cloud platform every time just to check if the lab limit has been reset or not.
